New Face of Fitness Program

New Face of Fitness is now operating accross the country. The New Face of Fitness program won the first ever Nike Fitness Innovation Award in 1994. As a result of the award, Dee received a grant from Nike Inc. to open New Face of Fitness programs at many YWCA locations across the United States. NFOF was also selected as a finalist for the "Make Fitness Happen Award" through IDEA's World Fitness Convention in 1996 & 1997. In 1998 the NFOF program received the first Govenors Fitness and Lifestyle Award for the state of Delaware. In 2000, the program received The Healthy People 2000 Award in Lima, OH.

The NFOF program includes incentives at all levels for licensees, from members to staff and management through annual events such as "Sail the Seas with Dee" Bahamas Wellness cruise and the "Wilderness Wellness Week with Dee" in Kauai. Educational opportunities for licensees and fitness professionals are provided through the New Face of Fitness Inventive program and include trips to fitness conventions, financial aid to become certified as a fitness professional, and aid to attend college in a health and fitness related field.
