Gobble gobble----okay, so people are sueing fast food places-- who they claim make them fat---and yes let's blame our inactivity on technology---how dare they create drive-thru's and remote controls for our tvs, vcrs, and just about everything else that can plug in---hey we even bought a floor fan this past summer with a flipping remote for the fan--wholey moley!
Now we get to turkey week and it's food--food food, food and hey.......it's all about food-----
that time of year that starts this week and allows us to throw everything we know to be good and true for us on the back burner---we have such good reasons not to work out, or to splurge every chance we get, it's the holidays---
Fitness is just not a priority for us between November and the New Year.
YEPPERS THE NEW YEAR-- that is when we get back on the "us" train --that's when we are all about those resolutions----never mind we threw ourselves away to some degree or another for the past 2 months--YO- New Years cleans that all up right?
I have said this time and again---if you can make it through a holiday period and keep on the activity train, keep on eye on the food choices--not totally hang up your healthy lifestyle habits--you will "get over" one of (what I believe is) the greatest humps to STICKING WITH YOUR NEW HEALTHY HABITS--year round!
Sure our routines are interrupted, sure we are off work, even some traveling and/ or house full of company---
THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE BEING A TERRIBLE HOST/HOSTESS WHEN YOU GO WORKOUT--- COMPANY OR NOT-(Get them a guest pass and have them come with you.)
THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE A SELFISH WRETCH WHEN YOU DECIDE TO MAKE FRUIT DESERT NOT 20 PIES---THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU STILL DO NOT DESERVE THESE HEALTHY CHOICES TO YOU, FOR YOU, FROM YOU--HOLIDAYS OR NOT!
Can I get a-- YES DEE?! (Aren't I sassy?)ha!
PS- I am grateful and thankful for God, my family and all my fitness family & friends too!
Take a deep breath in and exhale and know that we all have so much to be thankful for-eh?
