Fat is not good, being too thin is not good, better not eat this, gotta eat that, too much of this isn't a good thing and the less you have of something else is a bad thing---hellooooh? Why do we have to put everything into such stringent categories? Why do we have to be so judgemental? If you know me, you know I am far from thin, I am far from an Olympic athlete--but I try--I try on the activity train, and the food choices train--am I perfect? WHAT IS PERFECT AND ACCORDING TO WHOSE STANDARDS--- Is anyone?
What about the realization that is is okay just where we are. That to really feel okay right where we are, empowers us to want to work on becoming our best, in health, in life--notice I did not say society's best? our peers best? even the fashion, fitness or diet industry's best.....just our OWN personal best! That is good enough--say it with me
" MY OWN PERSONAL BEST............IS GOOD ENOUGH"
Write this sentence up on a nice poster and repeat it out loud daily! Then go out and move your body! Because once you've repeated that phrase you have already begun to MOVE YOUR MIND! This works--so go do it! Cheers!
