Hot enough for ya? Here in Chicagoland summer zaps us with humidity like the grand ol' south! If you sweat a lot---bes' be drinking that H-2-0! You may need to double your water intake on days like today. Remember not to workout outside in the heat of the day--keep it early in the am or later in the afternoon---there can be a fine line between heat fatigue, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. I wouldn't be a mother hen, if I did not mention sun screen too! Love the sun, love the summer, love to be prepared for it too! Bawk Bawk--cluck cluck--- Lovee's - Dee

Sandy is reading my toodles and I am sooo excited about that! Yeah Sandy! You won't believe who was at fitness center during our class again---Polly-pinkearplugs! ---- I could not resist (only after the request of the members IN class,of course) turning up the tunes and rockin' during our circuit class. We had a good time, sweated good too! Maybe I will get her a designer set of plugs for Christmas (EAR plugs ----people--EAR-plugs) LOL ----sassy little Dee

I GOT A PARKING TICKET FOR PARKING IN MY OWN FLIPPING DRIVEWAY cuz my car blocked the sidewalk--can you believe it? I never heard of any thing so crazy? Like people can not walk around? Like the fire escape to the whole subdivsion is thwarted due to the car parked in the drive?? I am freaking out! Anyone heard of such a dumb law? Anyone know why it would even exist? Cops have nothing better to do than drive around neighborhoods and ticket cars parked in their own drive? WOW---and how was your day? smiles, and grins--Dee

Hump day------yeah!---Half way point of the week------ Happy summer too ------- if we can get through a summer and not totally quit our activity regimen we are on the home stretch---keeping our new habit of moving our body---remember "Something is better than nothing!" At times our brains do the half on--half off thing-- we rationalize and say to ourselves- ACT 1-- "geez got out of town company so I'll miss two workouts this week--why even bother--just get on it next week" ACT 2 -- next week comes--found out your honey got tickets to concert to surprise you--so you'll miss a class-hey you can go the next day-- ACT 3 --next day your kid springs taxi trip on ya cuz it is YOUR turn to drive---heck, it's only another week-- ACT 4 NEXT week ---that is it--not missing a class-----FINALE before ya know it the summer is gone and all your workouts went with it-- Back-up---re-wind------TAKE TIME FOR YOU---MAKE TIME FOR YOU----Something truly is better than nothing! Mondays---On Mondays I rise and whine---LOL--then I get up and get out and get going--drink that water, go for that bike ride, hey do not forget domestic's(cook, clean, get the mail) , count my blessings and head out for my classes---nothing like a good sweat to start the week out right!
